NIKOLIC SCHOLARSHIP
The Nikolic Emerging Artist Scholarship was established in 2006 and offers an emerging artist the opportunity to develop their work and technical skills in a professional printmaking facility. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students and recent graduates who are in the beginning stages of their career. The student must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate Fine Arts programme with a concentration in printmaking – or be a recent graduate (within the last 2 years) from a Fine Arts Program with a concentration in Printmaking. Artists must have sufficient technical ability to be able to work independently in a cooperative facility.
The scholarship recipient will receive the following:
~ Tuition – free access to 1 workshop or course.
~ An exhibition in the Members Gallery.
~ Rent Free Access to the studio for the period of three months

Obligations:
The scholarship recipient will be required to:
Provide the Studio with one proof from every edition printed during the
Scholarship period. Maintain a consistent art production schedule during the tenure of this Scholarship. Present an artist talk to their university or college about their scholarship work at The Print Studio.
Eligibility
A student currently enrolled in an undergraduate Fine Arts programme with a concentration in Printmaking – or a recent graduate (within the last two years) from a fine arts programme with a concentration in Printmaking. Students from all Canadian post – secondary institutions are eligible. The recipient must have sufficient technical ability to be able to work independently in a cooperative facility.

- Artist Statement and outline of artistic direction
- 8-10 digital images on cd or dvd

Two letters of recommendation made out to Colina Maxwell, Executive Director

A self – addressed, stamped envelope
